My interest in photography began with a love for dogs. I have loved them all of my life and am happiest in their company. Hundreds of dog photos later and I still can’t get enough of this delightful subject. While beautiful in form, I am most enamored with their spirit and enthusiasm for life. I try to capture this spirit with my camera.
My two passions – dogs and photography – have been incredible teachers. In their own ways, they have each taught me to live in the moment, to appreciate what is in front of me right now, to treat it with wonder and curiosity, and to see the beauty that others overlook.
My primary focus is on dogs, horses and other beautiful creatures in natural outdoor settings. I have exhibited and sold my work at horse shows, juried art shows and local galleries. I am currently working on a photo book about old dogs and what they teach us about life and love.
I work year-round and love being outdoors regardless of weather conditions. When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy outdoor activities including trail running, snowshoeing and hiking with my dogs. My journey has taken me all over the United States from North Carolina to Florida, Washington DC, New Mexico and currently, Michigan, where I live with my husband and two beloved dogs.
