Laurie Bartolo is no stranger to stress. An accidental executive, she spent over two decades in demanding jobs where she battled the stress monster every day. Her wake up call came in the form of a health scare, which ultimately led to an immersive study of healthy methods for managing stress. This personal experience inspired her to return to her roots in wellness so that she could help others achieve a greater sense of wellbeing.
Laurie’s work as an instructor was born in response to the growing stress epidemic and the need for more widely available education in stress management, mindfulness and meditation. Through her workshops she helps others see the possibilities of a calmer existence amid the chaos of modern life. Her practical approach is ideal for working professionals seeking balance, improved focus, increased energy and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Education and Worksite Wellness from East Carolina University and became certified as a Stress Management Instructor after studying with world-renowned health psychologist and stress management expert Dr. Brian “Luke” Seaward in Boulder, Colorado. She is a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Instructor through the rigorous 200-hour teacher training program at the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona, Arizona. Laurie has extensive experience as a human resources leader where she delivered a wide variety of training programs as well as individual coaching sessions.
Laurie’s personal interests include photography, nature and the outdoors. She especially enjoys trail running, snowshoeing and long walks with her dogs. Her journey has taken her all over the United States from North Carolina, to Florida, Washington DC, New Mexico and currently Michigan, where she lives with her husband and two beloved dogs.
